Embracing fully the "Imperfect on Purpose" ethos of the brand the Rod Nod is a bit of a middle finger to the perfect finish of all the chin-up prissy boards out there. When it comes to looks this one just doesn't care. Brush painted by hand like the classic hot rodders of old who didn't have any other option there's a ton of nostalgia to enjoy.
Don't let a sloppy paint job turn you off though. This board has some magic curves underneath it all. Shaped with a bit of a duck bill nose, and our duck-butt tail, this board keeps the width that offers stability, major wave count, and maximum glide in knee to shoulder high waves. Big... HUGE bottom concave and a flat rear rocker in the center makes for some responsive front foot speed when needed and easy glide when locked into a face.
The upright and fairly straight angled twin-fin set up keeps the speed, stays twisty when you need, while offering a bit of bottom turn bounce back when hard on rail.
A ripper dripping in retro "use what you got" style.
This board is not for sale at the moment and is currently serving as a demo board for me.
